Description
Region II EMS AMBUS is operated by Jefferson County EMS and located in Jefferson County. The Ambus is a medically retrofitted school bus that can transport up to twenty-four patients (12 ambulatory and 12 non-ambulatory). It can be used for responding to mass casualty incidents where patients with non-life-threatening injuries need medical attention or evacuating facilities with non-ambulatory patients, such as hospitals, long term care facilities or retirement communities.
