In a powerful example of regional collaboration, the Tennessee Homeland Security District 2 and the Knox/East Tennessee Healthcare Coalition have partnered to distribute Warrior Aid and Litter Kits (WALK) to all primary 911 EMS agencies across our 16-county region.
These specialized kits are designed to bring lifesaving care directly to the point of injury—precisely where it’s needed most during a mass casualty incident. From rapid bleeding control to efficient evacuation support, the WALK kits enhance our region’s front-line capabilities in high-stress, time-critical situations.
Mass casualty events can happen anywhere, anytime. By equipping EMS responders with these advanced resources, Knox/East Tennessee is taking a proactive step to ensure we’re ready to respond quickly and effectively when lives are on the line.
