Large events bring our communities together — but they also require serious planning to ensure public safety. That’s why the Knox/East Tennessee Healthcare Coalition (KETHC) is proud to

partner with UT Event Medicine to boost preparedness for mass casualty incidents at high-attendance venues.

Through this collaboration, life-saving medical equipment is now deployed alongside UT Event Medicine teams wherever they provide on-site coverage. This ensures that trained professionals have immediate access to the tools they need to deliver critical care when every second matters.

But the benefits go beyond emergency response. By treating minor injuries and medical needs on-site, this partnership also helps reduce unnecessary Emergency Room visits — keeping local hospital capacity available for those who truly need it.

This is just one more example of how collaborative partnerships are strengthening our region’s resilience and readiness. Together, we’re building a safer, more prepared East Tennessee.
